Family Medicine Physician - North Idaho $220,000-$335,000 Base Salary | 4-Day Workweek | Significant Loan Repayment | 100% Employer-Paid Family Health Insurance Just Outside St. Maries, Idaho | Easy Access to Coeur d'Alene & Spokane Four-Day Workweek. Exceptional Benefits. We're recruiting a Family Medicine Physician to join a highly regarded Federally Qualified Health Center in beautiful North Idaho. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who want strong compensation without an RVU-driven base salary, meaningful work, supportive colleagues, and enough time away from the clinic to enjoy life outside of medicine. New graduates completing residency and experienced physicians are both encouraged to apply. Compensation That Rewards Experience & Scope $220,000-$335,000 base salary Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and clinical scope Straight-salary compensation, no RVU-based base pay Annual productivity bonus Retention bonuses of up to $20,000 annually $10,000 sign-on bonus $5,000-$10,000 relocation assistance Multiple student loan repayment opportunities Employer-funded loan repayment program FTCA malpractice coverage with tail Strong employer retirement contribution Physicians who are comfortable practicing a broader scope of Family Medicine, including MAT, prenatal care, DOT examinations, and procedures, may qualify toward the higher end of the compensation range. A True 4-Day Workweek Work four 10-hour shifts per week and enjoy three days off every week. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with your regular day off typically falling on Monday or Friday, depending on coverage. Approximately two hours of administrative time are built into each scheduled day, helping keep charting and other non-clinical responsibilities manageable. Typical Schedule 7:00-8:00 AM — Administrative time 8:00 AM — First patient 12:00-1:00 PM — Lunch / administrative time 5:00-5:20 PM — Final patient The goal is straightforward: provide excellent care during your workdays while protecting your time away from the clinic. Manageable Outpatient Call Call is approximately 1:6-1:7 and is only telephone-based. After-hours calls are initially screened by a third-party service Nursing staff assist with weekday evening calls No routine overnight in-person hospital coverage Saturday walk-in coverage is shared among a provider pool This allows you to participate in call coverage without the traditional burden of frequent overnight hospital responsibilities. Comprehensive Family Medicine This is not a narrow primary care position. You'll have the opportunity to practice a broad range of Family Medicine across the lifespan.
Clinical Scope Includes:
Adult and pediatric primary care Preventive medicine Chronic disease management Women's health Prenatal care through approximately 28 weeks MAT / addiction medicine Urgent and walk-in visits Suturing and minor procedures Joint injections Contraceptive procedures Skin lesion removal DOT examinations You don't need to be proficient in every procedure on day one. Internal training is available for areas including: MAT IUD/Nexplanon placement DOT certification Basic suturing competency is expected. Strong Behavioral Health Support You'll have access to a substantial on-site behavioral health team rather than being expected to manage complex behavioral health needs on your own. The organization has approximately 11-12 licensed behavioral health professionals, including same-day and crisis resources. Primary care physicians have direct internal referral pathways, allowing medical and behavioral health teams to collaborate closely.
