Overview Pulmonary Critical Care Physician Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin, IL Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group Join a physician-led team at Saint Joseph Hospital, a 184-bed Level II Trauma Center serving the Fox River Valley community.

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary Critical Care physician to deliver high-acuity inpatient critical care and comprehensive pulmonary services in a collaborative, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities Inpatient ICU Care:
Manage critically ill patients, handle mechanical ventilators, and direct emergency interventions.
Consultations & Procedures:
Perform bronchoscopies, thoracentesis, intubations, and chest tube insertions.
Team Collaboration:
Work with nurses, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary specialists. Qualifications MD or DO degree with board certification/eligibility in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care medicine. Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship. Strong clinical skills in outpatient, inpatient, and critical care settings. Excellent communication abilities and a commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care. Eligibility for Illinois medical licensure. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $350,000 - $375,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
