OB Hospitalist / Laborist Physician $180-$250 per Hour | Approximately 12 Shifts Per Month Women-Owned & Physician-Led Private Practice Beth Israel Lahey Health Affiliation Teaching Opportunities Available Essex County OB/GYN is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physician to join our Laborist team on Massachusetts' beautiful North Shore. This opportunity offers the ability to focus exclusively on inpatient obstetrics and gynecology while enjoying a predictable schedule, competitive compensation, extensive clinical support, and the collegial culture of one of the region's largest independent women's health practices. Position Highlights $180-$250 per hour based on experience and qualifications Approximately 12 shifts per month Flexible mix of day and night shifts 2,000 deliveries annually No outpatient office responsibilities No patient panel management No routine inbox management Women-owned and physician-led practice Beth Israel Lahey Health affiliated hospital Teaching opportunities with medical students Stable, collaborative physician group Opportunity for additional shifts if desired Excellent benefit package High-Volume Obstetrics with Exceptional Support Our labor and delivery service manages approximately 2,000 births annually , providing physicians with a rewarding blend of routine and complex obstetrical care. Laborists practice within a highly collaborative coverage model designed to support both patient safety and physician satisfaction. At all times, physicians have access to: Dedicated laborist physician coverage Certified Nurse Midwife coverage Private attending physician support One to two additional providers available for backup coverage 24 hours a day Our physicians are never practicing in isolation and benefit from a team-based approach that promotes collaboration during routine care, high-volume periods, and obstetric emergencies. Outstanding Clinical Resources Physicians enjoy access to comprehensive hospital resources including: 24-hour in-house anesthesia coverage Level II Special Care Nursery Experienced labor and delivery nursing teams Maternal-Fetal Medicine collaboration Neonatal stabilization and specialty newborn care Emergency surgical support Beth Israel Lahey Health specialty referral network These resources allow physicians to provide high-quality care within a well-supported clinical environment. Teaching Opportunities Physicians interested in education have opportunities to work with and mentor medical students during their clinical rotations.
