Job Description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to join a busy outpatient practice in Largo, Maryland. This is an excellent long-term locum tenens opportunity offering a consistent weekday schedule with no call responsibilities and ongoing coverage needs. Opportunity Highlights Monday through Friday schedule Clinical hours only, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM No call required Outpatient-only practice Ongoing assignment with immediate start available Epic EMR Multiple providers may be considered Long-term opportunity with a well-established healthcare organization Qualifications Board Certified in Gastroenterology Fellowship trained Active Maryland medical license or IMLC eligibility ACLS and BLS certifications required Comfortable performing procedures under moderate sedation administered by the physician and nursing staff INDITP Procedures and Clinical Scope Candidates should be experienced in a broad range of gastroenterology procedures, including: Upper GI endoscopy Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp removal Sigmoidoscopy ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) PEG placement Esophageal dilation and manometry Small bowel biopsy Liver biopsy Foreign body removal and GI bleeding management Practice Details Outpatient setting only No hospital admissions required No APP supervision required No resident or teaching responsibilities Hospital privileges required Credentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 days
