MedStar Health is seeking a resourceful and service-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to department leadership and physicians. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities, supporting a busy team, and creating an organized and welcoming office environment.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to department leadership and physicians, including managing calendars, appointments, staff schedules, vacation logs, mail, telephone calls, correspondence, presentations, reports, filing systems, data entry, and follow-up activities. May also coordinate travel, conference registrations, expense reimbursements, licensing, and credentialing activities. Coordinate meetings and events by arranging locations, virtual access, refreshments, agendas, materials, and meeting minutes. Assist with special projects and the collection and preparation of financial, statistical, or operational information. Maintain office operations by ordering supplies, monitoring inventory, supporting equipment maintenance, responding professionally to patients and other stakeholders, and providing backup coverage to ensure efficient workflow. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, outreach activities, and quality-improvement initiatives while supporting departmental goals and complying with MedStar Health policies, safety and quality standards, and governmental and accreditation requirements.Minimal Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and relevant business or administrative training required; associate degree preferred. An appropriate combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Two years of clerical or office experience supporting a leader or administrative function required; healthcare experience preferred. Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, along with strong typing, transcription, organization, communication, customer-service, and telephone skills. This position has a hiring range of USD $20.57 - USD $36.27 /Hr.Benefits
