Job Description
Description This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide comprehensive women's healthcare services in a supportive and patient-focused environment. As a Locum Ob/Gyn Physician, you will deliver high-quality obstetric and gynecological care, including prenatal care, deliveries, surgical procedures, and routine well-woman exams. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients while maintaining accurate and timely medical records. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients Perform prenatal care, deliveries, and postpartum follow-up Conduct routine well-woman exams, including Pap smears and breast exams Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions and disorders Perform surgical procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and lab work Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, and menopause management Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare staff Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulations Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as needed Stay current with advancements in obstetric and gynecological medicine Ensure a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach to patient care Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology Valid medical license to practice in the state of Mount Airy Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology Proficiency in performing obstetric and gynecological procedures Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting Commitment to patient-centered care and safety Willingness to work on-site and participate in on-call schedules Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
