Locums About the Facility This 25-bed inpatient hospital operates as part of a health system providing obstetric and gynecologic services. The facility maintains a low-volume emergency department with 7 beds and supports 28-34 deliveries per month, with air and ground transfer support available for immediate patient transfer needs. Clinical operations are conducted on-site with established protocols to support continuous obstetric care delivery. About the Facility Location Eastern North Carolina offers a range of experiences suited to varied interests, including mountain landscapes, coastal shores, and diverse natural environments. Clinicians on assignment will find options for outdoor recreation, cultural festivals, arts events, and wildlife tours across both the eastern and western regions. The area supports year-round activities and regional attractions that reflect the state's geographic and cultural variety. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic coverage through 24-hour shifts (8:00 AM to 8:00 AM) at an on-site facility, with coverage needed on April 9-12, April 16-19, and April 23-26. Clinical responsibilities include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, with a delivery volume of 28-34 per month; no ICU responsibilities are required, and clinicians will not be expected to respond to codes. Clinicians must be prepared to respond to the hospital within 20 minutes, and all clinical documentation must be completed using the
EPIC EMR
system. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required for this assignment.
