Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services, emphasizing preventive health, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health outcomes through compassionate care, clinical expertise, and collaborative practice. The physician will utilize advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation and seamless patient management. Responsibilities Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to assess patient health status. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across diverse patient populations. Develop personalized care plans, including medication management, lifestyle counseling, and follow-up care. Utilize EHR systems effectively to document clinical encounters, order diagnostic tests such as medical imaging, and review lab results. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties—including cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), pulmonology, neurology, and others—to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Perform routine procedures such as suturing, wound care, immunizations, and basic life support (BLS). Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with legal standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities to enhance patient outcomes. Provide inpatient and outpatient services within hospital or clinic settings as required. Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for efficient documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience in managing a broad spectrum of conditions including infectious diseases, chronic illnesses like diabetes and hypertension, mental health issues such as PTSD or behavioral health concerns. Ability to perform clinical procedures including suturing, IV infusion, airway management, and basic diagnostic radiology interpretation. Familiarity with healthcare diagnosis protocols across multiple specialties including cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, orthopedics, radiology, pediatrics, neurology, psychiatry, and others. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and educating patients effectively. Post-residency experience in primary care or family medicine is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information. Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments such as urgent care or emergency medicine settings. Commitment to continuous learning through clinical research participation or professional development activities.
