Job Description

Radiology Records Specialist Radiology Records Specialist Position Summary Responsible for all electronic and print film images and patient reports. Assists all physicians, allied health professionals, patients and family with report retrieval and distribution. Primary Position Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the maintenance of all electronic images and reports. 2. Responsible for the maintenance and duplication of all print film and reports from this hospital as well as other healthcare sources that are sent to this hospital for follow-up patient care. 3. Responsible for creating electronic copies of all images and report and for sending them to requesting healthcare sources, patients, and families. 4. Responsible for communicating non-critical results reports to referring physicians and other license independent practitioners and their staff. 5. Responsible for enforcing and following the Locked Legal and Film Release Policies of the department. 6. Responsible for preparing all films and reports for any conferences attended by Medical Imaging physicians and staff, i.e. tumor board, breast conference. 7. Responsible for ensuring all studies are correctly prepared for radiologist interpretation and contacting staff to make corrections if necessary. Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) :

One year of prior experience in healthcare setting

Required:
Able to set priorities. Good communication skills. Excellent computer skills.
