We are recruiting for a Full-Time Medical Day Care Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) to join our skilled team of pediatric professionals in Northfield, NJ. This position is benefit eligible.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) / Recreational Therapist (RT) provides comprehensive developmental, psychosocial, and therapeutic support services to pediatric patients enrolled in the Medical Day Care program. The CCLS/RT functions as a key member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities that promote: Gross motor development Fine motor development Cognitive functioning Social and emotional development The role includes medical play, coping support, behavior strategies, therapeutic recreation, and family-centered interventions for children with chronic illness and disabilities. Care is delivered in accordance with: Facility policies and procedures NJ Department of Health Pediatric Medical Day Care standards Interdisciplinary care planning requirements Infection control and safety policies
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Therapeutic Recreation, Child Development, or related field Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or eligible / Recreational Therapist credentials (CTR or equivalent) Experience working with children with chronic illness and/or disabilities Pediatric healthcare or medical daycare experience preferred Ability to safely supervise groups of children Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care Current CPR certification (BLS required) #W1
