The candidate will be responsible for coordinating surgical procedures, obtaining authorizations, and managing cases involving New Jersey and New York PIP (No-Fault) and Workers' Compensation . Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures with hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers Obtain insurance authorizations and pre-certifications Manage NJ & NY PIP and Workers' Compensation cases Ensure completion of pre-operative requirements (medical clearances, labs, imaging) Communicate with patients, providers, insurance carriers, and attorneys Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems Coordinate post-operative follow-ups Work closely with billing department to ensure proper case processing Qualifications 2+ years of Surgery Coordinator experience (Orthopedic preferred) Working knowledge of: NJ & NY No-Fault (PIP) NJ & NY Workers' Compensation Basic understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding Experience with EMR systems (Tebra, Kareo) Strong organizational and communication skills Work Location Teaneck, NJ (primary office) Supports NJ & NY operations
