Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients across various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management strategies. Provide medication management and monitor patient responses to optimize therapeutic outcomes while adhering to HIPAA and DEA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate care for patients with complex mental health needs, including those with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, and behavioral health conditions. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), ensuring compliance with health regulation policies and medical documentation standards. Participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, including telehealth consultations, to deliver accessible mental health services. Engage in diagnostic evaluation procedures and psychiatric patient care activities such as intake assessments, psychiatric evaluations, and follow-up care. Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in the applicable jurisdiction. Proven experience working with children and adolescents, including pediatric psychiatry and Geriatric psychiatry experience preferred. Demonstrated expertise in clinical psychiatry techniques such as psychopharmacology, psychotherapy modalities (including cognitive behavioral therapy), and diagnostic evaluation. Strong knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and DEA regulations related to controlled substances. Experience working within hospital settings or inpatient environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical records management. Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to manage psychiatric crises effectively through crisis management protocols. Working knowledge of addiction medicine, PTSD care, behavioral health practices, and consultation-liaison psychiatry is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating compassionate patient care and effective communication skills.
