Job Description:
We are seeking a General Internal Medicine (GIM) physician to provide specialized, evidence-based care to adult patients in an outpatient setting. This is an opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining autonomy in clinical practice. The role involves managing complex medical cases, coordinating care, and contributing to the broader care pathway of the clinic.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of adult patients with complex or chronic medical conditions. Manage diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for a wide range of internal medicine cases. Collaborate with family physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals for continuity of care. Order and interpret diagnostic tests including lab work, imaging, and specialist referrals. Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in EMR systems. Contribute to patient education and preventive health efforts.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree and recognized postgraduate training in Internal Medicine. Certification in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent (e.g., MRCP(UK), ABIM, FRACP with eligibility for licensure in Ontario). Eligible for independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) . Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
