Locums About the Facility This COC accredited cancer center features an 18-bed chemotherapy suite and is co-located with radiation oncology services within the same facility. Dedicated pharmacists are available to conduct educational starts for chemotherapy, and weekly tumor boards are conducted to support coordinated oncologic care. Clinical trials, including phase 2 and phase 3 studies, are available to support advanced treatment options for the patient population. About the Facility Location New Mexico offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of natural and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. The state is home to notable destinations including White Sands National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Gila Cliff Dwellings, and Petroglyph National Monument, alongside historic sites such as Taos Pueblo and the New Mexico Museum of Space History. Outdoor pursuits including hot air balloon rides, whitewater rafting, and skiing are available throughout the region, and additional unique attractions such as the International UFO Museum and the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge provide further options for exploration during time away from clinical duties. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide on-site inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology coverage in New Mexico, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 17 new consults expected. Call coverage is required and includes weeknight call shared among clinicians, weekend 24-hour call, and response to questions from RNs regarding patients calling in with questions, patients receiving chemotherapy, and consults from the ED. Clinical responsibilities encompass the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings, with access to clinical trials including phase 2 and phase 3 studies. Board certification in Hematology/Oncology is negotiable for this locum tenens engagement. Additional Job Details
