Job Description
Anesthesiology Opening in New YorkFull timeGlens Falls, NYPosition Highlights Join an established team of 7.5 anesthesiologists and 13 CRNAs in a collaborative community hospital affiliated with Albany Medical College. Full-time, shift-based schedule designed to provide excellent work-life balance while supporting continuous patient care. Typical schedule consists of one 24-hour shift and two 12-hour day shifts most weeks, with four weekday 12-hour shifts during periods of full staffing. Limited weekend responsibilities, typically no more than one weekend 24-hour shift every two weeks. Medical direction model supervising CRNAs with a maximum 1:4 coverage ratio. Diverse case mix including Endoscopy, Orthopedics, Urology, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Plastics, Robotics, OB/GYN, GI, Interventional Radiology, and healthy Pediatrics. No cardiac or neurosurgical anesthesia. Epic EMR utilized throughout the health system. Practice in a 391-bed ANCC Magnet-recognized community hospital affiliated with a leading regional academic health system.
Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary of $550,000, based on experience. $30,000 sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance up to $10,000. Student loan forgiveness of $20,000 annually for up to five years (up to $100,000 total). Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Retirement plan. Nine weeks of paid time off annually (8 weeks PTO plus 1 week CME). $5,000 annual CME allowance with dedicated CME time. Reimbursement for New York medical license, DEA registration, and medical staff dues.
Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology. Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted New York medical license. Comfortable providing independent overnight coverage in a community hospital environment.
