Job Description

A respected, mission-driven community health organization is seeking a compassionate Psychiatrist to join its growing outpatient Behavioral Health team in Middletown, New York. This is a strong opportunity for a psychiatrist who wants meaningful clinical work, a collaborative team, and the ability to treat patients across the lifespan. You will provide a mix of in-person and telepsychiatry services while working alongside psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, primary care providers, and support staff in an integrated-care setting. The Opportunity Outpatient psychiatry role serving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and establish evidence-based diagnoses and treatment plans. Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications. Provide psychotherapy and therapeutic interventions as clinically appropriate. Deliver a combination of in-person and telehealth visits. Participate in weekly high-risk case review meetings and interdisciplinary care planning. Collaborate with primary care, behavioral health, and external providers to coordinate patient care. Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and support quality-improvement initiatives. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program. Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry. Current unrestricted New York medical license, or eligibility to obtain one. Active DEA registration. Outpatient psychiatry experience preferred. Experience in a community health center, FQHC, or integrated-care setting is a plus. Comfort treating patients across the lifespan and working as part of a collaborative clinical team.
