The Radiology Specialty Assistant is an advanced‑practice radiologic technologist who works under the supervision of a radiologist to enhance clinical workflow, support diagnostic and interventional procedures, and improve patient throughput. This role performs higher‑level patient care tasks, fluoroscopic procedures, and clinical assessments that extend the radiologist's capacity while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and scope‑of‑practice standards. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support & Patient Care Conduct patient histories, assessments, and pre‑procedure evaluations. Perform fluoroscopic procedures under radiologist supervision. Assist with interventional radiology workflows, including patient preparation, procedural support, and post‑procedure care. Evaluate imaging for completeness and quality (not interpretation). Serve as a clinical liaison between radiologists, technologists, nursing, and procedural teams. Workflow Optimization & Throughput Support radiologists by managing routine clinical tasks to improve efficiency. Facilitate communication across imaging, ED, inpatient units, and procedural areas. Help streamline patient flow and reduce bottlenecks in high‑volume environments. Documentation & Compliance Document patient assessments, procedures, and clinical findings in accordance with regulatory standards. Maintain compliance with ARRT, state scope‑of‑practice regulations, and institutional policies. Participate in quality assurance, safety initiatives, and performance improvement activities. Professional Collaboration & Education Provide education to technologists, nursing staff, and learners regarding imaging workflows and procedural preparation. Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and radiology team meetings. Qualifications Education & Certification Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.

$68.00 - $86.00 per hour
