Job Description
Position Summary Searching for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine and is experienced in primary care (1 year+) to provide on-site services part-time (24-32 hours/week) to a male incarcerated population. Physician Duties Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing Managing medication Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated Making referrals for specialized care or treatment Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed Caseload Up to 2.5 patients/hour Qualifications 1+ year of primary care experience Ohio medical license Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification Board certification DEA certification as required for the assignment #HC010
