Shift Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; up to 40 hours per week How many shifts needed per month : 20-22 Shifts, full-time coverage during regular clinic hours
License:
Active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state, territory, or Washington, D.C.
Certifications:
Board Certification American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Current BLS Current DEA registration State CDS, if applicable Experience needed: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience Special Skills needed: Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Acute and chronic disease management Preventive care and health promotion Diagnostic test interpretation EKG and radiograph ordering/interpretation Pediatric care Minor orthopedic conditions EHR documentation Patient education and care coordination Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 - 8
Weeks Responsibilities:
Conduct medical examinations and evaluate patients. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions. Order and interpret laboratory tests, radiographs, EKGs, and other diagnostic studies. Prescribe medications according to IHS pharmacy policies and formulary. Provide preventive care, health promotion, and patient education. Provide referrals and appropriate follow-up care. Document patient encounters in the EHR within 48 hours. Coordinate patient care with other departments. Participate in peer review, medical home activities, medical staff meetings, and required training. Follow infection-control, patient-safety, privacy, and HIPAA requirements. Provide scheduled and walk-in patient care and may support the urgent-care clinic as needed.
Misc:
On-site, non-personal services position.
Expected workload:
approximately 14 scheduled appointments per full day or up to 20 walk-in urgent-care visits per full day when assigned to urgent care. Must meet IHS credentialing and privileging requirements.
