Full-Time, Exempt Purpose:
A physician provides general medical care, monitors growth and development, and tracks and administers immunizations for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The physician diagnoses and treats illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries, and eases the lives of patients with chronic conditions. Provides patient care. Recognizes various age-related needs of patients and provides age-appropriate care as indicated.

  • Know and follow all NPCHS organizational/departmental policies/procedures.
  • Assume responsibility for personal development and education.
  • Commit to high-quality, safe work; encourage others to have similar standards.
Identify processes/systems that could lead to inefficient practices, unsafe conditions, errors, or adverse events. Avoid shortcuts to ensure quality and safety measures are not circumvented. Encourage patient and family involvement in processes involving patient safety. Understand that patient safety is everyone's responsibility. Assume responsibility for personal education and performance related to patient safety; report unsafe conditions or events immediately; speak up in a non-confrontational and educational manner when seeing a safety breech; develop or participate in a project or action plan to reduce risk or mitigate harm for patients, as appropriate.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients promptly.
  • Promote continuity of patient care by interacting and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide appropriate patient education.
  • Document in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist with review and follow-up of clinical data. When appropriate, assist nursing personnel in their evaluation of phone calls and determining appropriate disposition.
  • Support the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Performs per system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational/Knowledge Requirements:
Licensure/Certification:
Doctor of Osteopathy OR Medical Doctor PA Medical License required.
