Full-Time, Exempt Purpose:
A physician provides general medical care, monitors growth and development, and tracks and administers immunizations for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The physician diagnoses and treats illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries, and eases the lives of patients with chronic conditions. Provides patient care. Recognizes various age-related needs of patients and provides age-appropriate care as indicated.Responsibilities:
- Actively practice behaviors associated with NPCHS Service Excellence expectations. Smile at and greet everyone enthusiastically, and treat everyone with respect, dignity, and care. Be an ambassador for NPCHS. Provide "the best care for our patients no matter what."
- Know and follow all NPCHS organizational/departmental policies/procedures.
- Assume responsibility for personal development and education.
- Commit to high-quality, safe work; encourage others to have similar standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients promptly.
- Promote continuity of patient care by interacting and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide appropriate patient education.
- Document in the electronic medical record.
- Assist with review and follow-up of clinical data. When appropriate, assist nursing personnel in their evaluation of phone calls and determining appropriate disposition.
- Support the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Performs per system-wide competencies/behaviors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
