Part-Time Medical Cannabis Physician (MD/DO) Position Overview We are seeking a licensed MD or DO to join our team as a part-time Medical Cannabis Physician. This role focuses on conducting patient evaluations and issuing medical cannabis certifications in a professional, compassionate, and compliant manner. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, knowledgeable about medical cannabis therapeutics, and comfortable working in an outpatient setting. Schedule Part-time, with a minimum commitment of 1 full day per week in-office Flexible scheduling available (additional days/times can be discussed based on mutual availability) No on-call or weekend requirements unless mutually agreed Key Responsibilities Perform thorough patient evaluations for medical cannabis certification Review medical histories, discuss treatment options, and provide education on medical cannabis use Complete all required documentation and certifications in accordance with state regulations Maintain compliance with state medical board rules and cannabis program guidelines Collaborate with office staff to ensure efficient patient flow and positive patient experience Stay current with medical cannabis research, best practices, and regulatory updates Qualifications Active, unrestricted MD or DO license (state-specific) Completion of all required medical cannabis physician coursework and registration with the state medical marijuana program Board certification or eligibility in any specialty is welcome (no prior cannabis experience required) Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental bedside manner Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance What We Offer Competitive hourly payrate with bonus plan Fully trained support staff to handle scheduling, intake, and administrative tasks Modern, welcoming office environment Opportunity to make a meaningful difference for patients seeking alternative treatment options Flexible part-time schedule that works around your existing commitments 5 star Google rated practice with over 5,000 patients on current roster If you are a qualified physician interested in helping patients through medical cannabis while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, we'd love to hear from you!
