In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric care to diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of mental health conditions through medication management, psychotherapy, and comprehensive patient assessments. Job Details The position can be part-time or full-time, 1099 contract or W-2 employment - inquire further for benefit details. Responsibilities Conduct thorough initial psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients in outpatient an outpatient setting. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy), and other behavioral health interventions. Manage medication regimens responsibly, ensuring safe prescribing practices in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Provide crisis management support for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or emergencies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including working with individuals with complex clinical presentations, neurodivergence, and neurocognitive conditions. Maintain accurate medical records, document patient progress, and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in psychiatry, addiction counseling, and telehealth practices. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Post-residency experience in behavioral health or psychiatry is preferred. Experience working with diverse populations, children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and mental health counseling methods. Experience providing inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services within hospital or clinic environments. Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic medical records systems, and data collection processes. Excellent crisis management skills coupled with compassionate patient care abilities. Ability to work effectively via telehealth platforms and adapt to evolving healthcare technologies.
