Locum MD (Medical Doctor) / DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Family Medicine / Primary Care Description . This entry-level, contract, on-site position offers a meaningful opportunity for early-career physicians to gain hands-on clinical experience while serving the primary care needs of the community. As a Locum Physician, you will provide comprehensive family medicineand primary care services in a medical practice environment, supporting continuity of care for patients and collaborating with an established healthcare team. This role is ideal for an entry-level MD/DO candidate who is eager to apply medical knowledge in real-world settings and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive family medicine and primary care services to patients on-site in Aiken. Conduct patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and symptom evaluations. Develop and implement individualized care plans for acuteand chronic conditions. Diagnose common illnesses, infections, and preventive care needs within the scope of family medicineand primary care. Order relevant diagnostic tests and prescribe medications as medically appropriate.. Provide patient education on treatment plans, preventive health, and wellness strategies. Document patient interactions accurately and maintain timely medical records. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of care. Follow clinical protocols, safety standards, and ethical medical practice guidelines. Adapt to a changing patient caseload and locum tenens assignment schedules. Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD)) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, as required for this locum physician role. Entry-level physicians are encouraged to apply; prior experience is not required. Strong clinical foundation in family medicineand primary care practice. Excellent patient-facing communication and bedside manner. Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently in an on-site clinical setting. Sound clinical judgmentand decision-making skills. Effective collaboration skills with interdisciplinary medical teams. Aptitude for accurate clinical documentationand record-keeping. Schedule:
Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) and Friday (8a-12p) Outpatient call shifts required
