M.D. or M.D Equivalent The Gastroenterology & GI Surgery program is repeatedly recognized on the US News & World Report Best Children's Hospital Rankings, and it is the largest and most comprehensive program in the region. The program maintains an active consultation service for children with gastrointestinal, nutritional, and liver problems. The Pediatric Gastroenterology Division performs over 16,000 outpatient visits, 2,000 inpatient consultations, and 1,400 procedures annually with an emphasis on excellence in clinical care. The team is the only pediatric liver transplant, motility, and advanced therapeutic endoscopy center in South Carolina. We also collaborate with many other specialties at MUSC Children's Health to treat patients holistically. In 2020, MUSC Children's Health opened the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital and Pearl Tourville Women's Pavilion, a 100,000-square-foot, 262-bed, state-of-the-art building that is transforming the delivery of fetal, women's, and children's care in the region. Supporting the outstanding clinical care at our Children's Hospital and Women's Pavilion is the Charles P. MUSC Children's Health Pediatric Gastroenterology is seeking to expand our outpatient consultation delivery in the Myrtle Beach Area. Our established Murrells Inlet location is expanding to a full-time pediatric gastroenterologist + nurse practitioner. Currently, our provider services 4 days/week in that area, and due to high demand, we seek to offer this expansion Pediatric endoscopy is performed within our regional hospital network locally This full-time pediatric gastroenterologist can live, work, and play without having to worry about taking call or fielding after-hours phone calls The Murrells Inlet clinic is a MUSC pediatric multi-subspecialty office location Join a collaborative team of 12 faculty physicians, 6 APPs, dietitians, and fellows, within the MUSC Children's Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology 1 admin day and 4 clinic days per week, average 12 patients per day We will provide: Dedicated departmental clinical research team Epic EMR platform with DAX Relocation assistance Faculty appointment with academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications Excellent benefits package, including a pension and optional tax-deferred contributions Sovereign Immunity malpractice coverage 22 days of annual leave, 15 days of sick leave, and 13 paid holidays Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility CME allowance + time off Coastal South Carolina is frequently named one of the best places in America to live, and it's easy to see why.
