TBI Examiner - Charleston, South Carolina Overview Frontera Search Partners is recruiting a physician to serve as a TBI Examiner in Charleston, South Carolina , providing structured Traumatic Brain Injury disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans. This is a part-time opportunity for a physician who wants a consistent three-day-per-week schedule without taking on an ongoing patient panel. The work centers on comprehensive clinical assessments and documentation related to Veterans' disability claims rather than ongoing treatment. TBI examinations are structured evaluations designed to document a Veteran's history, current symptoms, functional limitations, and other findings relevant to a disability determination. The examiner provides an independent clinical assessment; disability determinations are made separately through the VA claims process.

Treatment:

No ongoing treatment or patient management TBI Examiner Responsibilities Review available medical records and relevant service history before examinations Conduct comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury evaluations Obtain and document relevant medical and injury history Assess neurological, cognitive, behavioral, and functional effects associated with TBI Complete required disability examination documentation Provide medical opinions when requested and supported by the clinical evidence Complete examination documentation within established timelines Respond to clarification requests when additional clinical information is required Maintain professional and respectful interactions with Veterans Qualifications Required Qualified physicians should be an MD or DO with training and experience appropriate for comprehensive TBI examinations.

Applicable specialties may include:

Neurology Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Psychiatry Neurosurgery Licensure, specialty, and credentialing eligibility will be confirmed during the screening process.
