Full Job Description General Summary:
The Allergy program manager provides quality patient care services to the patients of ENT Specialists of Austin (ENTSA) under the direction of physicians and practice management. ENTSA clinical staff support the goals and the objectives of the practice as well as performing a range of administrative and clinical tasks.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Allergy program manager is responsible on the whole for the allergy department.
This includes:
allergy testing, allergy shots, allergy mixing, communicating with allergy patients about their treatment regimen, coordinate with scheduler about allergy services, order allergy supplies and report to the physicians on allergy program development.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for rendering professional clinical care to patients Responsible for ordering allergy serums for testing, drops and injection administration Counsel patients about their recommended allergy regiment Coordinate allergy testing and physician review of results Provide patient education on test results, follow-ups and allergy medication instructions Give allergy injections and coordinate allergy care Address patient inquiries with respect to medical questions and provide instruction within the limits of medical knowledge Verify and document patient information, review and record medical history and confirm purpose of visit or treatment Return patient phone calls and document in the medical record in accordance with practice procedure and policies Maintain patient medical records in accordance with practice procedures Ensure exam rooms, equipment and supplies are ready for patients Ensure that all medical equipment is clean, sanitized, and working correctly Appropriately handle sensitive information and maintain patient confidentiality Assist with patient flow and communicate delays to patients Follow infection control protocols, practice policies and procedures Adhere to regulations and policies related to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and other relevant standards Participate in team meetings and cross-training provided which may include practice functions related to clinical triage, allergy services and audiology services Perform other duties as assigned
