IMMEDIATE
need for a Part Time General Cardiologist for our client in California.
Role Description:
This contract, on-site General Cardiologist role is based in California. The Cardiologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, interpreting diagnostic tests (such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests), and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create evidence-based treatment plans. Depending on training and privileges, the Cardiologist may perform invasive and/or interventional procedures and support nuclear cardiology imaging and vascular evaluations. The role also involves documenting encounters in a timely, accurate manner, participating in quality improvement and care coordination activities, and maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and referring clinicians. General Practice, no hospital requirement strictly Outpatient Care More information will be discussed during the initial meeting with our client. Qualifications Strong foundation in clinical Medicine with board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology. Demonstrated expertise in Cardiology, including diagnosis and management of a broad range of cardiovascular diseases. Experience or training in Nuclear Medicine as it relates to cardiac imaging and stress testing is highly desirable. Skills in Interventional Cardiology and Vascular procedures (if applicable to the assignment), including comfort with catheter-based diagnostics and interventions. Active, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in California State and current DEA registration. Completion of accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology; additional subspecialty fellowship (e.g., Interventional Cardiology) is a plus. Current BLS and ACLS certifications and commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care. Effective communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and diverse patient populations. Willingness to participate in call coverage, hospital rounds, and quality or performance improvement initiatives as required by the facility.
