Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting an Anesthesiologist to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Salem VA Health Care System located at 1970 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 0700-1330 with call. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive anesthesiology services for: Cardiac surgery Orthopedic joint replacement Major vascular procedures Thoracic surgery Neurosurgical procedures Plastic surgery ENT procedures Urologic surgery Ophthalmologic surgery Provide anesthesia care for: Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Cardiac catheterization procedures Electrophysiology procedures Gastrointestinal procedures Radiology suite procedures Provide primary coverage for: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Short Stay Unit Acute pain management services Chronic pain management services Diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography Emergency airway management Perform bedside consultations and outpatient clinic consultations as appropriate. Follow VA medication policies and procedures. Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions to patients. Communicate test results in accordance with VA requirements. Document all patient care in the VA electronic health record system. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) No history of restricted, suspended, revoked, denied, or voluntarily surrendered licensure.
