Vernon Memorial Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join our dedicated and compassionate team of physicians and providers and make an immediate impact in the thriving rural communities in the heart of the breathtaking Driftless Region of Southwest Wisconsin! The Family Medicine Physician provides care in a comprehensive family practice to patients spanning all age groups, from newborn to geriatric. As a non-profit, provider-based system of rural health clinics, Vernon Memorial is committed to serving the needs of the community. Our family medicine physicians have endless opportunities to influence the future of rural healthcare while building meaningful and long-lasting relationships with patients, families, and the surrounding communities. Our collaborative and team-based clinic environment is focused on high-quality, patient-centered care, in support of an award-winning critical access hospital. While based out of our clinic in Viroqua, Wisconsin, the Family Medicine Physician will have an opportunity to partner with our La Farge Medical Clinic, which is also home to the Center for Special Children, an essential service offered by only six clinics in the country, utilizing genetic testing to identify and treat rare conditions. While genetic research benefits the entire population, most of the afflicted children come from regional Amish and Mennonite communities. Scientific study has made our Center for Special Children program an outstanding medical resource, but the significant personal relationships developed between the VMH family medicine team and the Plain community cannot be underestimated when looking at what has been accomplished since the program began in 2015.
