Pay:

$300,000-$336,000

Paid Time Off:

50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).

Retirement:

Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.

1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.

No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.

Contract Buy Out Program:

This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years).

Duties include:

Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to adult patients, presenting with mental, behavioral, addictive or emotional disorders, e.g., psychoses, depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, developmental disabilities, sexual dysfunctions, adjustment disorders or any other diagnosis reflected in the DSM 5. Ordering of diagnostic, laboratory tests, and prescribing medications. Including the gathering of history and performance of physical exams, and care to patients in the inpatient care setting, in conformance with unit policies. Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services. Develop and implement treatment plans plus informing patients of risks, benefits, and alternative treatments and answering all questions. Consult with providers in other disciplines. Hospital admissions and discharges. Evaluation, Prescription, and Medication Management. Psychotherapy - Individual and Group Psychotherapy; Marital and Family Psychotherapy. Crisis intervention and referral to appropriate treatment setting.
