Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Psychological Associate to join our practice in a longer-term, developmental role focused primarily on psychological assessment and disability evaluation . Position Overview The Psychological Associate will work under the supervision of an experienced licensed psychologist in the role of a disability examiner , conducting psychological evaluations of both children and adults . Psychological testing and assessment are central components of this position, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop substantial hands-on experience in assessment. This position is designed around a developmental training model . Associates may begin with less complex evaluations and, as their skills and experience develop, progressively take on more complex assessment assignments with increasing independence. Depending on the candidate's interests and the needs of the practice, additional opportunities to provide psychotherapy services may also be available .
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate:
Is eligible for registration as a Psychological Associate with the California Board of Psychology . Has a strong and specific interest in psychological assessment and testing . Is interested in gaining experience evaluating both children and adults . Values supervision, professional development, and progressively increasing clinical responsibility. Is comfortable working in a role in which psychological assessment is the primary clinical activity . Can flexibly rotate between our Lancaster and Victorville locations for in-person work. Is seeking a longer-term Psychological Associate position and is not anticipating becoming independently licensed within the next 6-9 months . Why This Position? This role is particularly well suited for a Psychological Associate who wants to develop strong assessment skills while receiving ongoing supervision from an experienced psychologist. Rather than immediately being assigned the most complex cases, the position allows the associate to build competency progressively , advancing to increasingly sophisticated evaluations as experience and proficiency develop. Candidates with a genuine interest in making psychological assessment a meaningful part of their professional development are strongly encouraged to apply.
Pay:
$40.00 - $80.00 per hour
