This full-time contract opportunity runs throughout the 2026-27 school year and offers the chance to work closely within a supportive educational environment near Danbury, CT. You'll play a critical role in providing essential psychological services and assessments that support student success and well-being.
Key Qualifications:
Must possess (or be eligible for) Connecticut School Psychologist certification; candidates with pending certification are welcome to interview. Direct, in-person availability required for 32.5 hours per week during the academic year. Demonstrated proficiency in conducting regular psychoeducational evaluations, with comfort managing a consistent caseload. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to ethical and culturally sensitive practice within a diverse school community.
Role Responsibilities:
Administer and interpret a variety of standardized and non-standardized assessments for students referred for evaluation. Collaborate with educators and families to develop intervention plans that address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Participate actively in eligibility, IEP, and team meetings, providing expert input and support. Maintain detailed records, timely evaluation reports, and up-to-date student progress documentation. Deliver direct and consultative services to support students' learning environments.
