Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting students' well-being and educational success as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year! This full-time contract opportunity places you in the vibrant community near Groton, CT and its surrounding areas. You'll have the chance to positively impact students' lives through thorough evaluations and by participating in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings, collaborating closely with educators, students, and families.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut (CT) School Psychologist certification is required Experience conducting comprehensive evaluations for students in school settings Ability to participate and contribute in PPT meetings Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive educational environmentPrimary Responsibilities:
Administer and interpret assessments to identify student strengths, challenges, and needs Actively attend and provide input in PPT meetings to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement interventions Provide consultative support to staff and families regarding students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Maintain accurate documentation and confidential student records As you embark on this rewarding experience, you'll gain opportunities to further develop your professional skills and make a genuine difference for students and their families.
