Job Description

A full-time opportunity is available for a qualified School Psychologist to work onsite serving students in a supportive educational environment. This contract role is based near West Hartford, CT, at a middle school, with immediate need and assignments extending through March 30, 2027. The position focuses on providing professional psychological services, including evaluation administration and PPT (Planning and Placement Team) reporting, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and emotionally.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active School Psychologist licensure and relevant certification for the state of Connecticut. Documented school-based experience is required for consideration. Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with expertise in administering and interpreting a range of standardized psychological assessments. Proficiency in preparing comprehensive and timely PPT reports. Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families. Ability to adapt in a dynamic educational environment and respond thoughtfully to student needs. Comfortable participating in interviews via Zoom as part of the selection process.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to support student individualized educational plans. Attend and contribute to PPT meetings, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Prepare clear, actionable reports and documentation for student files and review panels. Provide consultation and recommendations to staff and families regarding effective interventions and strategies. Uphold all ethical, legal, and compliance standards within Connecticut school systems. This is a single full-time opening at 35 hours per week, onsite at the school. The assignment's duration ensures stability and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students throughout several school years.
