Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Take on a meaningful role supporting students as a dedicated school psychologist in a vibrant middle school setting near Hartford, CT. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a difference through direct service and collaboration, working 35 hours per week on-site at a welcoming school community. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through March 30, 2027, providing stable, impactful work. Your expertise will be key in administering thorough evaluations and preparing high-quality PPT (Planning and Placement Team) reports to ensure students receive the support they need for academic and personal growth. An active Connecticut certification and licensure in school psychology are required for this role. Prior school-based experience is also essential, as your knowledge of educational environments will enhance the support you provide to students and staff. What you'll need: Current and active Connecticut school psychologist licensure and certification Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting Strong skills in conducting student evaluations and completing PPT documentation Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, and educational teams Confident communicator with attention to detail and organizational skills Willingness to work on-site in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment Availability for full-time schedule: 35 hours weekly Key responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive student assessments and interpret evaluation data Develop, draft, and present reports for PPT meetings Work collaboratively with staff, students, and families to foster student progress and well-being Support compliance with state and federal special education regulations Interviews will be held conveniently via Zoom, making the process simple and efficient for candidates.
