Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity impacting elementary students as a School Psychologist for a full-time, in-person assignment from August through Christmas break—with the possibility of extension—at a welcoming district near New London and East Lyme, CT. This long-term substitute (LTS) position offers you the chance to make a meaningful difference while collaborating closely with educators, families, and young learners. Your background in school psychology will enable you to support a caring, inclusive environment where every child's unique social, emotional, and learning needs are addressed. Leverage your expertise to conduct assessments, guide interventions, and foster positive behavioral strategies. What we're seeking: Hold current Connecticut School Psychologist Certification Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting (elementary level experience preferred) Strong knowledge of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions Ability to collaborate well with diverse staff, students, and families Skilled in assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention Excellent organizational, communication, and reporting abilities Committed to confidentiality and professional ethics In this role, you will: Conduct psychoeducational assessments and contribute to eligibility and IEP meetings Develop and monitor effective intervention plans Deliver short-term counseling and crisis support as needed Consult with teachers and families to promote student achievement and wellbeing Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams Maintain clear, accurate documentation and timely reporting Embrace this opportunity offering competitive compensation starting at $100 per hour.
