Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students as an onsite Bilingual School Psychologist at a school located near Shelton, CT. This rewarding contract position spans the academic year from late August 2026 through May 2027, offering you the opportunity to work directly with students and staff to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Ideal candidates are skilled in both Spanish and Portuguese, with the adaptability and confidence to work with students across all grade levels. As part of a collaborative school environment, youll assess students, contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and provide meaningful interventions as needed. Your expertise will help create a supportive and inclusive environment for learners from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications:
Valid CT Educator Certification Bilingual fluency in Spanish and Portuguese (required) Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting preferred Comfortable with caseloads across varying grade levels Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver psychological services, including assessments, counseling, and consultations Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and administrators to develop and implement IEPs Provide crisis intervention and behavior management strategies as needed Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of student records Serve as an advocate for students mental health and wellbeing
