Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential assessment and evaluation services in a dynamic school environment. This is a full-time contract opportunity for a skilled School Psychologist to support grades 7-12, with a focus on comprehensive evaluations from now through June 2027. You'll have the chance to collaborate closely with educators and families and play a vital role in advancing student success and well-being.
Key Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in Connecticut Experience conducting full psychoeducational evaluations (initial and re-evals) Familiarity with middle and high school populations (grades 7-12 preferred) Strong knowledge of special education processes and relevant state/federal regulations Ability to work independently and manage a consistent evaluation caseload Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for initial and triennial evaluations; counseling duties not required Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to interpret results and provide actionable recommendations Prepare detailed, timely evaluation reports for individualized education program (IEP) teams Engage in multidisciplinary meetings regarding eligibility and services Maintain accurate records and ensure all compliance timelines are met
