Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students' well-being as a School Psychologist in a rewarding contract position near West Hartford, CT. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and community partners to ensure students receive the intervention and support they need to thrive. Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Connecticut certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist Experience conducting formal psychological and educational assessments Strong skills in data-driven intervention planning and implementation Ability to offer counseling and behavior management strategies to students Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for referred students Develop individualized intervention and behavior plans based on assessment results Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding students' academic and emotional needs Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, providing expert input and recommendations Deliver short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with state and federal regulations Promote mental health awareness within the school community This location offers a supportive setting and close proximity to both the vibrant town of West Hartford and other nearby communities.
