9530167-19966 Job Description Make a difference in the lives of students as a part-time School Psychologist on a flexible contract basis. This rewarding opportunity serves schools located near Millsboro and Laurel, DE, where your expertise will support academic and emotional success for diverse learners. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to foster positive, inclusive learning environments and deliver essential psychological services.
Qualifications/Experience:
Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist in Delaware (or eligibility for Delaware certification) Strong knowledge of current assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education processes Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations, behavior assessments, and counseling for students Skill in interpreting data and developing recommendations for individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and organizational abilities Compassionate, solutions-focused approach to student support
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students referred for evaluation Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine student eligibility for special education services Provide individual or group counseling/intervention for students as needed Collaborate with staff and parents to design and monitor intervention strategies and behavior plans Support crisis intervention efforts within the school setting Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services delivered Adapt services to meet the evolving needs of a varied caseload (caseload to be determined) This contract position offers the flexibility and satisfaction of making an impact while maintaining work-life balance.
