Job Description

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist passionate about making a difference for students in preschool through eighth grade. This position takes place within an engaging school environment near Palm City, FL, supporting young learners' academic and emotional success during the 2026-2027 school year. Your role will involve collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster a positive learning climate, conduct student assessments, and help develop tailored interventions. You will work on-site, immersed in the school community, to support a diverse caseload.
Key qualifications:
Valid FL DOH School Psychologist License (required) Prior experience in a school setting is preferred Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development Ability to work effectively with children ranging from PK-8th grade Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills Adaptability and a collaborative team approach Responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families to implement interventions and support strategies Participating in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and providing consultative services Contributing to crisis intervention and prevention initiatives as needed Maintaining timely, detailed records in accordance with school policies Additional details: Full-time contract: 35 hours per week On-site work; school assignment(s) to be confirmed Separate district fingerprinting and HR badging are required, with possible review of existing state clearances Candidates must be prepared for a timely interview process; same-day interview availability is encouraged due to urgent hiring needs If you are motivated to empower students and thrive in a collaborative school-based environment, we encourage you to apply today—step forward and help shape the future for students in this vibrant district!
