Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential support to elementary students as a School Psychologist in the Atlanta area. This unique contract position focuses on one elementary campus, working with students in grades K-5. As a vital part of the educational community, you'll play a key role in helping young learners achieve their best. This part-time role is structured for two days per week—Wednesday is required, while your second day offers flexibility to suit your schedule. The assignment begins in November and runs through the end of the school year, offering a purposeful way to make a tangible impact over several months.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification (Georgia or eligible for reciprocity) Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or closely related discipline Experience supporting elementary-aged students Strong evaluation, counseling, and communication skills Knowledge of special education law and best practices
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for K-5 students Interpret assessment data and develop actionable recommendations Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs Participate in IEP meetings and help design effective intervention plans Provide crisis management and consultation services as needed Promote positive mental health and a supportive school environment If you are passionate about making a difference in elementary education and enjoy working collaboratively in a school setting, this role offers the flexibility and sense of purpose you're seeking.
