Desired Qualifications:
Hold a valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in the state. Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field. Previous experience working in a school or educational environment is highly valued. Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills. Exceptional communication abilities for both students and staff. Familiarity with state and federal special education laws and processes. Commitment to cultural competence and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for students. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective interventions. Participate in IEP meetings, offering insight and recommendations. Serve as an advocate for students mental health and social-emotional needs. Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as required. Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to support student growth and learning. Help design and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs). Promote a positive and supportive school climate.
