9608104-60004 Job Description Empower students to thrive and make a lasting difference as a School Psychologist for a full-year contract near Arlington Heights. This dynamic position involves supporting early childhood through 8th-grade students across two nearby locations. Each workday runs from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, ensuring a structured 7.5-hour schedule inclusive of lunch. In this unique role, you will spend half your time performing Early Childhood Assessment Team (ECAT) evaluations and participating in related meetings. For the other half, you will support students and staff in Lake Villa as a regular school psychologist, collaborating directly with educators, families, and administration.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
Valid certification as a School Psychologist (state licensure required) Strong background in school-based psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling Experience with early childhood and K-8 student populations is highly valued Proficiency in coordinating and delivering ECAT evaluations Comfortable balancing responsibilities at multiple sites Excellent communication, advocacy, and collaborative problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychological and educational assessments, including for ECAT Attend and actively participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams and families Provide consultations to teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success Develop and monitor individualized education plans for students, as appropriate Deliver short-term counseling and targeted interventions to support social-emotional development Maintain accurate and timely case documentation Take the next step in your school psychology career and impact the lives of students across grade levels.
