Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students and educators as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near Chicago, IL. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with staff, families, and students to foster academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development. You'll serve as a valued resource for the school community, providing crucial assessment, consultation, and intervention services.
What You'll Bring:
Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure (State of Illinois preferred) Master's or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field Experience with psychoeducational evaluations, report writing, and behavioral assessments Strong understanding of Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators and families Capacity for cultural competence and working with diverse student populations Familiarity with IEPs and participating in eligibility meetings
Your Role Will Include:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify student needs, including cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments Interpret assessment data and communicate findings to teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Provide direct support and interventions to students, both individually and in groups Consult with teachers and administrators on evidence-based strategies and interventions Participate actively in IEP and eligibility meetings, providing expertise and recommendations Support crisis intervention and deliver resources to promote student wellness Contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture This is your opportunity to deliver impactful psychological services in a collaborative environment with dedicated professionals.
