Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an engaging and rewarding opportunity as a school psychologist supporting students from early childhood through 5th grade in a vibrant community in the greater Cicero, IL and Oak Lawn, IL area. This full-time, building-based contract role spans the length of the school year, from August 17 to June 5, with regular hours of 6.5 hours per day, five days a week, totaling 32.5 hours weekly. You'll have the opportunity to work across three school buildings, enriching your experience and impact.
Key Qualifications:
Valid school psychologist credential/license appropriate for Illinois schools Experience working with students at the early childhood and elementary levels Comfortable working with a broad range of disabilities and student needs Strong assessment, evaluation, and report writing skills Ability to effectively schedule and facilitate meetings Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities Multilingual skills in Spanish, Polish, or Arabic are highly preferred and valued
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform and interpret student assessments, following all best practices and guidelines Schedule and facilitate team meetings to review student progress, eligibility, and needs Provide individual and group counseling support for a diverse student population Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and monitor effective interventions Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring their unique needs are understood and met Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state mandates Imagine yourself making a meaningful difference in schools where your expertise supports children across multiple grade levels and abilities.
