Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of middle school students by lending your expertise as a School Psychologist on a contract basis for a maternity leave coverage this fall. This full-time, onsite role runs from October through December 2026 in a supportive educational environment near Elgin, IL. As a vital resource for students and staff, youll play a key part in fostering student growth and well-being during a transitional period.
Qualifications and Experience:
Hold an active, valid Illinois School Psychologist license Recent experience supporting middle school children in an educational setting Strong skills in counseling, assessment, and special education compliance Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive environment for diverse learnersKey Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group assessments of students emotional, behavioral, and academic needs Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and supports tailored to the middle school population Collaborate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend relevant meetings Provide crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and mental health support as needed Consult with educators and families to recommend best practices and interventions Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state policiesBenefits and Perks:
