Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young students as a School Psychologist providing dedicated support to elementary-aged children. This full-time contract opportunity focuses on working with a K-5th grade caseload in a vibrant school setting near Elgin, IL. As a critical member of the educational community, you'll play a key role in fostering academic, social, and emotional success through expert assessment, consultation, and direct interventions.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current Illinois (IL) School Psychologist license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required Experience supporting students in K-5th grades preferred Strong understanding of developmental, learning, emotional, and behavioral disabilities Comfort with administering assessments, developing interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Committed to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on student progress and intervention strategies Support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans Provide crisis intervention and participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) processes Deliver counseling, skill-building, and behavioral support services as needed Advocate for a positive, inclusive learning environment
