Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract role supporting young learners as an on-site School Psychologist. In this position, you'll play a pivotal part in the transition of Pre-K students, providing targeted behavioral interventions and collaborating with educators and families. This school year opportunity spans August 14, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a primary commitment of 35 hours weekly—and the potential for occasional additional hours to best serve student needs.

What You'll Contribute:

Deliver First Step Transition behavioral intervention services to Pre-K students, fostering school readiness and positive classroom behaviors. Serve a caseload of approximately 70 students in a specialized preschool environment for children with unique needs and abilities. Lead teacher consultations, behavioral coaching, ongoing progress monitoring, and active collaboration with families. Guide children and caregivers through early school experiences, including two-day multidisciplinary testing events. Partner closely with a diverse professional team—school psychologists, occupational and physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, autism consultants, teachers, nurses—to deliver comprehensive evaluations and individualized support. Concentrate on Pre-K behavioral interventions with a focus on evidence-based practice and seamless transitions into the school setting. Engage in classroom consultation, family communication, and collaborative problem-solving to address a wide range of developmental and behavioral needs. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute actively to program improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Desired:

Certification and/or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience working with Pre-K or early childhood populations preferred. Strong skills in early intervention, behavioral coaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Ability to provide on-site support (no remote or VOCO options).
