A district is seeking an on-site professional to work primarily with Pre-K students and deliver vital behavioral intervention and transition services. This contract role begins August 14, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, offering 35 hours per week with occasional additional time as needed.

Key Qualifications:

Master's or higher degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility Experience working with early childhood, particularly Pre-K students, preferred Skilled in behavioral intervention strategies and cultural competence Proficiency in consultation, progress monitoring, and effective collaboration with educators and families Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Role Responsibilities:

Implement the First Step Transition program, providing behavioral coaching, teacher consultation, and ongoing monitoring for approximately 70 Pre-K students Support children's social-emotional development, classroom behavior, and school readiness through evidence-based practices Engage caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary staff (OT, PT, SLP, Autism Consultant, nurse, and others) during two-day evaluation sessions for new students Lead and take part in preschool evaluations, guiding families and staff through the assessment process Act as a resource for the SNAP (Special Needs and Abilities Preschool), ensuring smooth transitions for children entering the school setting Use family collaboration to maximize the success of behavioral interventions and classroom adaptation This position offers rewarding work with the youngest learners as they begin their school journeys.
